Yesterday, we heard from PERA management late in the day, and they were concerned about some of the info on our FAQ site.  PERA has encouraged duty-disabled members to use them as a resource to calculate their numbers, based on the proposed offsets.   As you are all hopefully aware, we also have our own resources (most notably, a calculator) for our members to use to check their numbers.  We are asking everyone to go to https://mnpera.org/, use the website resources, and CALL them to get your offset numbers, based on your unique scenario.  Please compare them to the numbers you have gotten from our calculator, and REPORT BACK to us.   This strategy is two fold:  1.  It will let them know we are not going away.  2. It will give us a good sample for comparison, to see if our numbers are adding up similarly to PERA’s.  Please email your results to: [email protected]
