We are obviously disappointed, but the fight continues. We are not done yet.
SF1959 passed in the Senate last night and now goes to conference committee, combined with the House, to make sure it matches up with HF1234.
One amendment was accepted, which is good, and it is as follows:
New offsets will commence after the applicants next “reapplication” and will not begin until 2025 or after.
Otherwise, the bill changes offsets this way.
Offset 1 has changed but remains in place for those with less than 20 years on.
Offset 2 is after 100% $1 for every $2 earned, after 125% $1 for every $1 earned.
Additionally, most of the same PTSD treatment language was voted in, and the 99% rule kicks in for total, permanent disability (think Dan Wulff and Arik Matson).
We will meet at 6pm on Sunday on Zoom to discuss what has happened, and the beginning of some next steps.
We will see everyone at 6PM on Sunday at www.BetterCallGollop.com.
